Expeditions and Trek Itineraries

Each summer, crews hike Philmont's mountains, spending nights at various camps and participating in a wide array of programs presented by Philmont's backcountry staff. More than 820,000 Scouts, Venturers, and their leaders have participated in the rugged challenge of Philmont's signature program.

Individual Programs

In addition to regular expeditions for crews of seven to 12 members, Philmont offers several programs that are available to individuals and smaller groups.

Second Season Programs

While Philmont is best known for its popular summer programs, the Scout ranch is open year-round, providing high-adventure expeditions through the Autumn Adventures and Kanik programs.

Double H High Adventure Base

Started in the summer of 2004, the Double H High Adventure Base is Philmont Scout Ranch?s newest program. Located on the Torstenson Family Wildlife Center in Datil, New Mexico, the Double H is over 100,000 acres of rugged wilderness.
