Amanda Vogt
National Venturing President
Serving as the 2008-2009 National Venturing President is Amanda Vogt. Amanda has previously served the Central Region as the 2007-2008 Central Region Venturing President, and as the 2006-2007 Central Region Area 5 Venturing President. In those positions, she established monthly newsletters, wrote the first set of Bylaws for an Area in the Central Region, and helped to develop the Central Region Venturing structure.
She also has served her council, The Greater St. Louis Area Council, as an EVOA (Exploring/Venturing Officers Association) and a VOA (Venturing Officers Association) officer. In those positions she has served on the Venturing Recognition Night Committee, the Fall Fun Rally Committee (one of the largest Venturing Events in the Nation), and served on the Bylaw Committee for writing new Venturing Bylaws for the Greater St. Louis Area Council. She also served as the New Horizon District VOA President.
While involved nationally now, she is keeping her boots on the ground serving Venturing Crew 2783, chartered through Salem in Ballwin United Methodist Church, in St. Louis, MO, as Recording Secretary (previously has held 4 other Crew officer positions), and as an Assistant Scoutmaster for local Boy Scout Troop 783. She is also a member of Venturing Crew 2996 chartered by Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. She is a 13-year member of the Girl Scouts of America through which she has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, and the Girl Scout Silver Award, Girl Scouting's highest two awards a youth member may earn. She currently serves as a mentor for Cadette Girl Scout Troop 2356 and is a registered Girl Scout Adult Leader.
