Details on significant additions/changes to the Web sites in 2006.

Corporate Identity
http://old.scouting.org/identity: Due to concerns about unauthorized merchandise, the organizational identity piece on the public Web site has been revised: all logos are provided in JPEG format only, and the section of "additional" logos and symbols has been dropped.; The full version (with a complete selection of high-res graphics) remains available on Scoutnet (http://info.netbsa.org/adm/ccd/identity) so that councils may provide these images to their units and vendors.

Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class Rank Reqirements
http://old.scouting.org/boyscouts/rankvideo: A series of videos (which may also be downloaded as podcasts) that demonstrate how to fulfill requirements for the first three ranks of Boy Scouting.; These are being posted in pieces, as they become available. We expect to have all three sets posted by the end of the month.; NOTE: These videos will be available on DVD later this year (or possibly in 2007) - we're putting them on the site straight from the cutting room, and it will take a while to mass-produce hard media.

Order of the Arrow
http://old.scouting.org/boyscouts/oa: The Order of the Arrow has established an official presence on the scouting.org Web site.

Application Forms
http://old.scouting.org/forms: The new application forms for youth and adults have been added to the site. The old versions (program-specific) will remain on the server for at least 30 days to give you time to update your links

Safe Swim Defense and Safety Afloat
http://olc.scouting.org: These two coruses have been added to the online learning center. They have the same content as the old "aquatics" combination course (old.scouting.org/aquatics), but they will update leaders' training records in Scoutnet. The old version will reamin online for at least 30 days to give you time to update your links.

Good Turn for America
http://www.goodturnforamerica.org: We launched a complete (and pretty dramatic) redesign of this Web site.

NESA site - cosmetics
http://www.nesa.org: We've been adding various photographs and video to the site, and will continue to do so. These changes are purely cosmetic and do not affect the content of the site.

Venturing Fast Start
http://scoutnet.scouting.org/elearning: A new version of Venturing Advisor Fast Start has been posted on the new e-learning portal. The old version (old.scouting.org/venturing/faststart) will remain online until July 1 to give councils time to update their links.

Youth Protection Training
http://scoutnet.scouting.org/pubs/ypt: The old version of YPT has been removed from the site. Management has insisted that the old version be removed immediately (sorry for the lack of an overlapping period that would have provided time to update your links) - but a forwarding page has been placed in the location of the old course.

New Unit Organization Process

Cub Scout Program Themes
old.scouting.org/cubscouts/resources/themes: Cub Scout Division has released a list of their monthly program themes for the next three years.

Online Learning Center
http://olc.scouting.org/: This "site" merely points to training courses available in various locations.

Boy Scout Fast Start
http://scoutnet.scouting.org/elearning: Boy Scout Fast Start training has been ported to the new e-learning portal. The old version (old.scouting.org/boyscouts/faststart) will remain online until June 1 to give councils time to update their links.

Philmont
old.scouting.org/philmont: More content was added to the Philmont Web site and its pages were redesigned.

Supplemental Training Modules
http://old.scouting.org/boyscouts/supplemental: Four additional modules were added to this page.

Supplemental Training Modules
http://old.scouting.org/boyscouts/supplemental: Boy Scout Division has added a number of self-study modules to the Web site. These are not "for credit" courses, merely study aids to help sharpen leaders' skills.

FSB Conference Center
http://www.fsbconferencecenter.org: This Web site, a promotion for the The Florida Sea Base Conference and Retreat Center, has been brought in-house. There were no major changes in content, though most pages were changed from "php" to "html" documents.

Philmont
old.scouting.org/philmont: The Philmont section of the BSA Web site has been fleshed out, with (lots of) additional content in each section. Later this year, we hope to redesign the pages and add a few additional features (FAQ, search, and site map) - this should not change the URLs of the existing pages, though the graphics will be completely swapped out.
